The HICU-02 dual-unit pet ICU monitor is a floor-standing cabinet of 1200 × 650 × 1720 mm (L × D × H) and 220 kg. To install it, a clinic needs a grounded AC 100 V / 220 V, 50/60 Hz supply for a 1.6 kW maximum load (0.8 kW average), an oxygen source for its 21–60% setting range, and named staff for alarm response, soda lime changes and cleaning. If you want a taller double-decker, four-cabin layout, compare the HICU-04 (1290 × 660 × 1890 mm, 236 kg); for a single-patient cabinet, compare the HICU-05 (1000 × 710 × 1600 mm).
How much floor space and power does a dual-unit pet ICU need?
Plan the HICU-02 as a fixed piece of ward equipment, not a countertop unit. Measure the delivery route as well as the final position: the cabinet is 1720 mm tall and 220 kg before packing. Leave room in front for the doors and the infusion stand, and at the sides for cleaning and ventilation.
| Model | External size (L × D × H) | Weight | Power draw | Supply |
| HICU-02 (dual unit) | 1200 × 650 × 1720 mm | 220 kg | 1.6 kW max, 0.8 kW average | AC 100 V / 220 V, 50/60 Hz, grounded |
| HICU-04 (double-decker, four cabins) | 1290 × 660 × 1890 mm | 236 kg | 1.6 kW max, 0.8 kW average | AC 100 V / 220 V, 50/60 Hz, grounded |
| HICU-05 (single patient) | 1000 × 710 × 1600 mm | 236 kg | 1.6 kW max, 0.8 kW average | AC 100 V / 220 V, 50/60 Hz, grounded |
All three list power-outage protection with program control. Give each cabinet its own grounded outlet, tell us your mains voltage and plug type when you ask for a quotation, and consider a UPS if your area has frequent outages.

What oxygen supply does the HICU-02 work with?
The HICU-02 sets oxygen concentration from 21% to 60% with ±1% control accuracy, and a medical oxygen hose is listed with the unit. The oxygen itself comes from the clinic: a cylinder, a pipeline outlet or an oxygen concentrator. A high-flow oxygen generator is available as an option.
- Tell us which source you will use, so we can confirm the inlet fitting and pressure.
- If both units will run at high oxygen at the same time, ask whether the optional high-flow oxygen generator is the better choice than your existing concentrator.
- Keep a spare cylinder or second source for the times the main supply is being serviced.

What do the HICU-02 temperature, humidity and CO2 controls cover?
The cabinet combines warming and cooling, oxygen, CO2 removal, nebulisation and air treatment in one controller with an 8.4-inch touch colour screen. The table shows what is listed for each function and what your team will look after day to day.
| Function | HICU-02 listing | Daily or periodic task for the clinic |
| Temperature | 15–38 °C setting, ±0.5 °C control accuracy; independent split refrigeration and PTC heating | Set targets per patient; keep vents clear |
| Oxygen | 21–60%, ±1% control accuracy | Check the source and hose connection at each shift |
| Humidity | Automatic dehumidification; standard humidity within 40%, actual control below 50% | Check the humidity reading at each shift |
| CO2 | Monitored and cleared at 300–5000 ppm, error 10 ppm; soda lime; automatic CO2 discharge | Replace soda lime on schedule; keep spare stock |
| Nebuliser | Up to 0.2 ml/min, mist particles 0.5–2 µm | Clean and refill after each use |
| Air treatment and light | UVC 253 nm sterilisation; negative-ion purification; 415 nm blue LED; examination lamp | Follow the UV cycle instructions; track lamp hours |
| Ventilation and noise | Fan LOW / MIDDLE / HIGH; noise 40 dB(A) or less | Choose the fan level per patient |
| Records | Intelligent timed micro printer | Stock printer paper; file printouts with the patient record |
For smaller patients that need warmth and an oxygen connection rather than a full cabinet, compare the tabletop Pet ICU Incubator H-1801 and the other vet ICU incubators.
HICU-02, HICU-04 or HICU-05: which ICU cabinet fits your clinic?
All three share the same temperature, oxygen, CO2, nebuliser and power figures, so the choice comes down to how many patients you house at once and the space you have.
| If your clinic… | Model to compare | Why |
| Needs two enclosed spaces in one footprint | HICU-02 | Dual-unit cabinet, 1200 × 650 mm floor area, 1720 mm tall |
| Has ceiling height and wants more enclosed spaces | HICU-04 | Double-decker, four-cabin layout, 1290 × 660 mm floor area, 1890 mm tall |
| Treats one critical patient at a time | HICU-05 | Single-patient cabinet, 1000 × 710 × 1600 mm |
| Needs portable warmth and oxygen for small patients | H-1801, H-1803, H-1805 | Tabletop pet ICU incubators |

Who on the clinic team should be trained to run it?
Assign the cabinet to people, not to the ward. A referral or emergency hospital usually needs an ICU lead who sets patient targets, night staff who answer alarms, a cleaner who knows which parts are wiped and which are replaced, and a facilities contact for power and oxygen. A smaller practice that uses the cabinet mainly for post-operative recovery can train a few recovery nurses and one person who orders soda lime, printer paper and other consumables.
Decide early how the cabinet fits with the rest of your critical-care kit: an infusion stand is supplied for your infusion pumps, and for heart rate, SpO2 and blood pressure, pair the cabinet with a veterinary patient monitor.
What to include in your HICU-02 quotation request
- Mains voltage, frequency and plug type for your country.
- Oxygen source (cylinder, pipeline or concentrator) and whether to add the high-flow oxygen generator.
- Delivery address and access: lift, door widths and stairs, so we can give packed size and weight.
- Menu language and the printer paper and soda lime you want supplied as spares.
- Documents you need for import and registration in your market.
Send these with your enquiry and we will quote the HICU-02, HICU-04 or HICU-05 configuration that fits your ward.
