The RD-4011 is the HQS cordless battery reamer drill for orthopaedic surgery, built for reaming work where high torque at low speed matters: the published reamer drill output is 95 W with 16.5 N·m of torque at 0–330 rpm and noise of ≤45 dB. The handpiece runs at 14.4 V, has a fully sealed outer skin and can be autoclaved at up to 135 °C and 1.6 MPa; the brochure gives about 20 minutes for a high-temperature, high-pressure cycle. Power comes from 14.4 V batteries that charge in about 3 hours on a charger rated at AC 220 V / 50 Hz input, 14.4 V / 900 mA output and 30 VA; the charger is not a medical electrical device and stays outside the sterile field, and aseptic battery transfer rings are used to load batteries. The standard set is one drill unit, one charger, two batteries, two aseptic battery transfer rings, one drill chuck key, an instruction manual and an aluminium case. An acetabular reamer set (15 reamers and one shaft handle) is charged separately. Choose it for reaming; for cutting bone, compare the HQS battery saws instead.
