Buyer decision support

XSP-136SM / XSP-136E / XSP-136V biological microscope procurement decision notes

The XSP-136SM is the trinocular model in the HQS XSP-136 biological microscope series, so a camera can be added for recording or teaching. All three share the same optics and stage: WF10X wide-field eyepieces (WF16X optional), 4X, 10X, 40X (S) and 100X (S, oil) achromatic objectives giving 40× to 1000× with the WF10X eyepieces, a double-layer mechanical stage, coaxial coarse and fine focusing over 30 mm in 0.002 mm steps, an N.A. 1.25 Abbe condenser with iris diaphragm and filter, and a 6 V 20 W halogen lamp for 220 V or 110 V mains. They differ in the head: the XSP-136E has a compensation-free binocular head inclined at 45°, the XSP-136V a dual observation head with one tube inclined at 30° and one vertical, rotatable through 360°, and the XSP-136SM a compensation-free trinocular head. Choose the XSP-136E for routine single-user slide reading, the XSP-136V if two people need to look at the same field, and the XSP-136SM if you want to capture images.
