The MC-04, MC-07 and MC-12 are HQS mini benchtop centrifuges that share one housing and differ only in maximum speed: 4000 rpm, 7000 rpm and 12000 rpm. All three measure 160 × 190 × 120 mm, weigh 1.2 kg, run from a 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz supply and take interchangeable rotors for 0.2 ml × 6, 0.5 ml × 6, 1.5 ml × 6 and 2 ml × 6 tubes, or a double-row rotor for 0.2 ml × 16 tubes. The lid is transparent and the touch switch stops the rotor automatically when the lid is opened. Choose by the speed your protocol asks for: the MC-04 for gentle spin-downs, the MC-12 if you also want faster separation of small samples in 1.5–2 ml tubes. For blood tubes, hematocrit or larger volumes, use a full-size centrifuge such as the HC-12A hematocrit centrifuge or the LC and TDL series.
