The USS-100A is the standard generator in the HQS USS-100 ultrasonic scalpel series, listed for ultrasonic cutting and advanced coagulation. The tool head vibrates longitudinally at 55.5 kHz, cutting soft tissue and coagulating vessels up to 5 mm (including 5 mm) with no current passing through the animal; the published lateral thermal damage range is less than 1.5 mm. It has a peak power of 45 W, five cutting gear positions, a 5.5 mm cutter head, a 360° operating angle, a 2.85 kg generator and a 220 V / 50 Hz supply, classed CF-type / Class I. The standard configuration is the generator, three scalpels (14, 23 and 36 cm, or any three sizes you choose), one transducer and a power cord. Choose the USS-100A when you need cutting and coagulation with a hand-activated scalpel; choose the USS-100B if you also want the spherical, annular and knife-shaped Rebirth Knife heads for debridement, a second transducer and a foot pedal, which are in its standard set.
