The USS-G1 Ultracision harmonic scalpel system is an ultrasonic generator and handpiece for soft-tissue and minimally invasive surgery. The titanium-alloy curved blade with a nanometer double coating vibrates at 55.5 kHz ± 2 kHz to cut, coagulate and dissect, sealing vessels up to 5 mm, with no current passing through the patient. The blade-and-shaft unit comes in 14 cm or 23 cm lengths and has a 360° shaft rotation wheel with separate minimum and maximum hand-control buttons; continuous activation is limited to 15 seconds. The generator has a touch screen that records trigger times, tissue auto-adaption, a pluggable connector that can be changed without switching off, an 8-second boot time and a 3-second toning time, on 220 V, 50 Hz. The standard configuration is one generator and one blade-and-shaft unit in the length you choose. HQS also lists the USS-100A, USS-100B and USS-200 ultrasonic scalpels: they share a 55.5 kHz, 45 W generator with five cutting levels, a 5.5 mm cutter head and 14, 23 and 36 cm scalpels, and the USS-100B and USS-200 add Rebirth Knife heads and a foot pedal.
