Buyer decision support
The USS-100B is the advanced generator in the HQS USS-100 ultrasonic scalpel series. Its tool head vibrates longitudinally at 55.5 kHz, so soft tissue is cut and vessels up to 5 mm (including 5 mm) are coagulated by mechanical vibration and friction heat, with no current passing through the animal; the published lateral thermal damage range is less than 1.5 mm. The generator has a peak power of 45 W, five cutting gear positions, a 5.5 mm cutter head, a 360° operating angle, a 2.85 kg generator and a 220 V / 50 Hz supply, and is classed CF-type / Class I. The standard configuration is the generator, three scalpels (14, 23 and 36 cm, or any three sizes you choose), two transducers, two silicone sheaths, spherical, annular and knife-shaped Rebirth Knife heads, two wrenches, a foot pedal and a power cord. The USS-100A uses the same generator figures but its standard set has one transducer and no Rebirth Knife heads, foot pedal or sheaths; it is listed for cutting and coagulation, while the USS-100B adds the three functional heads for cutting, coagulation and debridement. The USS-G1 is a different system with a touch-screen generator, trigger-time recording and 14 or 23 cm shafts.
