The DR-A10 is the HQS veterinary DR system that combines a high-frequency X-ray machine, a 17 × 17 inch amorphous silicon flat panel detector, an X-ray table and an image workstation. The integrated X-ray head is removable, so it can also be used away from the table, for example in the field. The generator works at 40 kHz on a single-phase 220 VAC ±10%, 5 kW supply, with an output of 100 mA and 120 kVp and radiographic ranges of 40–120 kVp and 10–100 mA; heat units are monitored continuously to protect the tube, and anatomical programs (APR) set kVp, mAs, AEC and focal spot. Exposure is by remote control, hand switch or touch screen, with AED automatic exposure. The detector has 139 μm pixels, a 2912 × 2912 matrix, 16-bit AD conversion, 3.6 lp/mm spatial resolution and a 405 × 405 mm imaging area, and weighs 4 kg. The SID is fixed at 1000 mm, the table top is 1210 × 610 mm and the whole machine measures 1200 × 860 × 2000 mm. The Bizcon acquisition software previews and processes images in 3 seconds and includes VHS, HD, TPLO and TTA measurement tools, DICOM sending and report printing.
