The H1200-2 is the HQS veterinary anaesthesia machine with a built-in anaesthesia ventilator, for animals from 0.5 to 100 kg in clinics, hospitals and laboratories. The pneumatic main unit supports open, closed, half-closed and half-open circuits, has an oxygen flowmeter scaled 0–5 L/min, oxygen flush of 25–75 L/min and works from an oxygen supply of 0.25–0.65 MPa. One vaporizer is included (isoflurane 0.2–5%, sevoflurane 0.2–8% or halothane; flow 0.2–15 L/min; 340 ml dry or 300 ml wet capacity; Selectatec or cage mount). The ventilator has a 9-inch touch screen with PCV, VCV, SPONT and DEMO modes, big-animal (300–1500 ml) and small-animal (50–300 ml) bellows, tidal volume 20–1600 ml in auto control or 5–1600 ml in manual control, 1–100 bpm, I:E 9.9:1 to 1:9.9, PEEP off or 3–20 cmH2O and pressure support 5–60 cmH2O, with pressure, flow and volume waveforms and PV, PF and FV loops. The soda lime canister holds 500–700 ml and the animal breathing circuit can be autoclaved at 134 °C. Compared with the H1200-1, which lists V-60V and V-80V ventilators as options, the H1200-2 has the ventilator in the standard configuration; the trolley is optional on both.
