The H1200-5 is the HQS veterinary anaesthesia machine with an IPPV anaesthesia ventilator in the standard configuration, for animals from 0.5 to 100 kg in hospitals, clinics and laboratories. The main unit supports open, closed, half-closed and half-open circuits, is pneumatically driven with electric control, works from an oxygen supply of 0.25–0.65 MPa and has an oxygen flush of 25–75 L/min. One vaporizer is included (isoflurane 0.2–5%, sevoflurane 0.2–8% or halothane; flow 0.2–15 L/min; 340 ml dry or 300 ml wet; Selectatec or cage mount). The ventilator has an LCD screen, IPPV and manual modes, 0–300 ml and 300–1500 ml bellows (both supplied), tidal volume 20–1500 ml, 4–60 bpm, I:E 1:1 to 1:4 and minute volume of at least 18 L/min, with adjustable upper (2–6 kPa) and lower (0.5–2 kPa) airway pressure alarms and a low oxygen supply alarm. How to choose in the H1200 series: the H1200-5 is the simpler IPPV-only ventilator with an LCD; the H1200-3 adds a wider rate range (2–150 bpm) and 1600 ml tidal volume; the H1200-2 has a 9-inch touch screen with PCV, VCV, PEEP and waveforms.
